KWM is pleased to announce that Dan Wheeler was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Estate Planning Society of Kansas City on May 1, 2025.

Dan is now one of 37 members to have been inducted into the Society’s Hall of Fame, joining fellow KWM attorneys Dick Woods, Scott Martinsen, and Susan Teson. All inductees must have at least 30 years of experience in the estate planning field and make significant contributions to the local estate planning community through leadership, educational activities and mentoring.

Dan joined KWM in 2014 and primarily practices in the areas of fiduciary litigation, probate and trust administration, and guardianships. Prior to joining KWM, Dan served as the Probate Commissioner in Jackson County for fourteen years. With this experience, Dan is often chosen to act as a mediator in disputed probate matters. Dan is a frequent author and speaker to audiences including the Missouri Judicial College, the Missouri Association of Probate and Associate Circuit Judges, and The Missouri Bar.

The Estate Planning Society of Kansas City is an educational organization encompassing six groups whose practices involve estate planning: accounting, financial planning, legal, life insurance, nonprofit, and trust.

Congratulations Dan!
